The Stoaker Room is a rustic restaurant fitted with handmade sustainably sourced furniture, featuring a bohemian aesthetic with natural materials and décor accents in a large outdoor marquee space suitable for up to 60 people.
Additional guests can be catered for in the outdoor areas weather permitting. We also offer a private dining space affectionately referred to as the “birdcage”. All sited in a complex with free parking.
Our neighbours include a fresh orchard fruit stall and a range of winery tasting rooms, all located on the main route into Cromwell from Christchurch or Dunedin.
The Stoaker Room is a must-stop venue whether for coffee, lunch or dinner.

The Stoaker Barrel
Local produce is grilled, baked, steamed and smoked in converted French Oak Pinot Noir Barrels – called Stoakers. Each one hand built by our owner and creator Quintin, who you will often find talking to restaurant guests about his amazing invention!
Food & Wine Matching
Select a food and wine pairing option with a banquet of deliciously steam-grilled meats, seafood and veggies, paired with our very own brand of Central Otago made Wild Earth Wines. The Pinot Noir is made in the very barrels we cook in!
Unique Dining Experience
Uniquely rustic style with outdoor kitchen from which we serve amazing sharing platters on handmade French Oak staves and retired Stoaker barrel lids.

Offsite Catering Events
Bring our barrel cooking experience to your event - no spot is too wild or wonderful. We can bring absolutely everything we need to cook straight to your door! As our Stoakers run on gas all we need is a water source and we are up and running.
